Introduction

Overview

Final Fantasy III Crossover Event

This is an exploration event which requires no farming. Simply clear all stages to obtain all the rewards. You can't use Lapis revive to continue after being defeated in any of the stages. Exploration map is shared between all stages but has a higher difficulty as one progresses further until the entire map has opened. Five sealed chests on the first floor (accessible from BGN stage and higher) will be unlocked after clearing stages up to ELT. Once you have finished ELT, go back and all 5 of them will be unlocked.

Story

Under the control of an evil wizard, this is where the World of Darkness comes to an end.

Rain and the gang are following in the tracks of the Warriors of Light in seeking to understand to crystals.

Though their worlds might be different, as chosen ones of the crystals, set apart by their unique powers, Rain and his friends resonate with these warriors.

As they are introduced to the crystals of another world, the mystery of those in their own world only deepens.

In the deepest reaches, Rain and the gang find themselves caught in the same trap as the warriors who came before them.

Like those warriors, are they capable of drawing hope from the light of the crystal? The secret to which is soon to unfold.

Guide

  • You can't use Lapis revive to continue after being defeated in any of the stages
  • Bring a Tent and recovery items, especially Gold Needle or Remedy. Equip Gold Armlet, Gold Anklet, Jeweled Ring, Aegis Shield or Ribbon to prevent petrification. Bring Echo Herbs and Smelling Salts if you plan to fight the dragons.
  • The dragons are very strong and rare enemies that can be found on PRO or ELT stage, but you can still use Smoke Bomb or abilities like Escape and Smoke to avoid the fight.
  • You may also use Reduce Encounter to reduce random battles.
  • If you want to defeat the dragons don't equip weapons with elemental effect other than Dark
  • Dragons can drop Elixir, Magicites and 6-star★ Awakening Materials but other than that there is no particular benefit in defeating them other than having their full info in the in-game Guide
  • Bosses are susceptible to break abilities
  • If you have Cloud of Darkness, take your time and train her as her enhanced Man-Eater will give additional damage to human enemies, and attach Diabolos to your main fighter Chizuru, Lightning, or Dark Knight Cecil to give Man-Eater ability.
  • Xande can't have its ATK and MAG reduced, but you can reduce his DEF and SPR
  • Bring items to recover MP (Ether, Turbo Ether, and Elixir) and Osmose
  • SPR buffs like Focus, Meditate and Shellga are extremely useful
  • For Xande bring Barfira and Barstonra if possible, if you want to kill the dragons Barthundara and Baraerora are also useful
  • Bring Dispel or Holy Torch
  • Kum Kum and Platinal can use Breakga (petrify to all enemies) so use accessories with resistance to it
  • If you are having difficulties with killing at least one Goromy first turn use Barblizzara to avoid having chained blizzaras kill you
  • Green dragons drop 2-4 Green Megacites, yellow dragons drop 4-8 Yellow Megacites and red dragons drop 1-2 6-star★ Awakening Materials. All dragons have a chance to drop an Elixir in place of a regular drop.

Abilities:

  • Gauge: Reduce STR/DEF/MAG/SPR (10%) and elemental resistances to all enemies
  • Meteor: Magic damage with ignore SPR to all enemies
  • Quake: Earth magic damage to all enemies
  • Fire: Fire magic damage to all enemies
  • Dark Power: Buff STR/DEF/MAG/SPR to self
  • Time Stopper: Stop for 1 turn to all enemies
  • Weakened, it's darkness awakens: Reduce HP of all enemies to 1

Strategy:

  • First turn will use Gauge, buff yourself and use a SPR buff if possible
  • Second turn will use Meteor and finish the turn, defend with your party and use jump abilities if you have any
  • Will use Quake and Fire through the fight, use Barfira and Barstonra to reduce the damage
  • Use Provoke with your tank to focus the physical attacks on him
  • Man-Eater can give additional damage.
  • When lower than 60% and 30% he has a chance to use Time Stopper
  • When lower than 70% he will use Dark Power, use Dispel or Holy Torch, or Chizuru's Fingersnap.
  • When lower than 25%? he has a chance to use "Weakened, it's darkness awakens", make sure your tank has Provoke on

  • Limit bursts anger the dragon: Magic damage (4x) to all enemies (Yellow only)
  • Scratch: Physical damage and silence to one enemy (Yellow dragon only)
  • Scratch: Physical damage and poison to one enemy (Red dragon only)
  • Scratch: Physical damage and confuse to one enemy (Green dragon only)
  • Dragon Scales: Increase DEF (50%) to self
  • Dragon Wings: Magic damage (4x) to all enemies
  • Aeroga: Wind magic damage to all enemies (Red and Green dragons only)
  • Thundaga: Lightning magic damage to all enemies (Red and Yellow dragons only)
  • Firaga: Fire magic damage to all enemies (Red and Yellow dragons only)

Strategy:

  • Dragons will counter certain actions, with this in mind use only what they won't counter
  • Don't summon any Esper.
  • Use Dragon Killer materia if you have any. Kain and Freya have it, but doesn't work with jump.
  • Yellow is the easiest one as only LBs are countered, buff yourself, keep Barthundara and Barfira up and fight as you usually would.
  • Green you can't use magic, so bring items to heal and recover MP, the biggest challenge here will be not having access to curas, so your goal is to defeat him as quickly as possible. Buff yourself and try to chain your abilities to deal as much damage as you can.
  • You can use Celes to absorb -ga spells with Sealing Blade
  • Red counters abilities so you won't have access to your usual buffs or skills, try to keep your bar- spells active and if possible Shellga. Having healers with dual cast will be a huge help, remember to get Osmose from Espers for your healers and magic damage dealers that don't learn it.
  • Yellow & Green Dragons are vulnerable to all breaks, but Red Dragon is immune to DEF, MAG & SPR breaks.
  • When lower than 30%, 50% and 70% HP the dragon will use a -ga spell according to his element or if you triggered their "Espers anger the dragon" they will use Dragon Wings
