The Big Bridge

Introduction

Overview

Final Fantasy V Crossover Event

This is an exploration event which requires no farming. Simply clear all stages to obtain all the rewards. You can't use Lapis revive to continue after being defeated in any of the stages. There are no chests and the exploration map is a straight line, shared between all stages, with the second half exclusive to the ELT version.

Story

The great warlock with the power of the Void... The pathway known as the Big Bridge was the only way to get to his shrine.

This is where four warriors took a stand, facing off against the most evil of magi.

The man to avenge these fallen warriors was a strange-but-friend swordsman. Through the so-called encounter with this man, Rain and his gang come face-to-face with evil and the thoughts and feelings which remain.

Now it's off to the dimensional vortex, where they are to encounter "him" once again.

Guide

  • You can't use Lapis revive to continue after being defeated in any of the stages
  • Bring a Tent and recovery items, especially Unicorn Horn and Eye Drops. Equip accessories that can resist paralyze for the second Gilgamesh fight.
  • Gilgamesh second fight only happens in ELT and it starts before the end of the second bridge with no warning, if you want to use a Tent before him keep this in mind and try to use it early
  • On BGN, INT, ADV, and PRO, Gilgamesh will jump on half of his HP. Set defense on all members to reduce damage he made.
  • You can't escape random battles, but you can clear most of them chaining Thundaga
  • Neo Garula has 100% lightning resistance so you will need to use other abilities to defeat him
  • Bring items to recover MP (Ether, Turbo Ether, Mega Ether, Elixir) and Osmose)
  • Gilgamesh doesn't resist break abilities, so any break, Crush Armor, and Ravaging Blow are useful.
  • Bring Baraerora and Barthundara, alternatively Omni-Veil or Rainbow Veil if you have them
  • Gilgamesh has very strong physical damage so bring buffs that will increase your defense like Embolden, Cheer or Protectga
  • If you are having trouble keeping up with the damage you can always bring two healers, remember to use a tank to help covering your weaker units
  • The Party of 5 or less challenge counts your companion, so if you are having trouble with it you can always take away one of your units and bring a strong friend to help increasing your damage
