Overview

Final Fantasy IV Crossover Event

This is an exploration event which requires no farming. Simply clear all stages to obtain all the rewards. Exploration map is shared between all stages but has a higher difficulty as one progresses further until the entire map has opened to the most difficult stage. Any chest opened will stay open in other stages.

Story

Once feared as a great of weapon of war, the giant was brought back by the power of the Blue Planet crystal which consisted of the evil will that had permeated the land.

Investigating further into the giant in hopes of preventing it from causing harm, Rain and his crew come across an old battleground where warriors from the Blue Planet fought, and eventually lost their lives.

Now a new enemy stands before them, the all-powerful Four Fiends. It is now Rain and the gang's turn to experience this fight to the finish.

Filled with all the emotion their allies felt in the world from which they came, Rain and his crew now face the same fate...

The perilous road to their final fight has been opened.

Guide

  • Bring a Tent and recovery items, especially Unicorn Horn, Gold Needle, and Echo Herbs.
  • All Bosses have resist stat reduction abilities. This grants them 40% - 75% chance to negate any break abilities. Full Break count as 4 separate breaks, so it can still be useful as it has a good chance to land at least one of the four.
  • They are also immune to all status ailments but not elemental resistance reduction (e.g Imperil).
  • It is important to have Dispel to remove buffs from bosses. Chizuru's Fingersnap can also dispel.
  • Barfira, Barthundara and Baraerora can be useful if you have access to them as they are all craftable.
  • Equip Jeweled Ring or Ribbon to avoid petrification and paralysis.
  • On ELT you will fight the four bosses one after the other without pause in between and only then will you return to the exploration map before Golbez. This gives you a chance to heal up and/or revive your units.
  • Two of the bosses are immune to fire, and one is immune to wind, so do not use fire or wind weapons such as the Chirijiraden, Flametongue, Wind Spear or Kaiser Knuckles.
  • Holy elemental weapons/spells are particularly effective as they work on all bosses, and two are weak to them. eg: Excalibur. Ice elemental weapons/spells are also a good choice, as only the first boss (Which you can easily dispatch with a Raise spell or Phoenix Down), is immune to it, while two other are vulnerable. eg: Icebrand
  • Chizuru is a good choice here, as she has the Fingersnap ability to dispel buffs as well as dealing damage, and her Barrage is quite powerful with Man-Eater from Diabolos. Make sure she does not use the Chirijiraden or Kazekiri though.
  • Lightning is also a very strong unit here. Equip her Diabolos with Man-Eater to deal incredible damage, as 3 of the bosses qualify as Humans. Crushing Blow is particularly effective, as lightning magic is not resisted, and in fact vital to use against Cagnazzo. Take a mage to exploit this weakness while disrupting his Tsunami (Tellah is recommended because he has Raise as well as Blizzaga and Thundaga).

  • At 50% and 30% HP Thresholds, Rubicante will cast Scorch, a high-damage AOE fire spell. (In addition to his other turns)
  • When Rubicante casts "Its cloak is closed", it increases 300% DEF/SPR and gains Regen 20,000 HP at the end of every turn. Using a physical damage ability on Rubicante will trigger "Its cloak is open" on the next turn, removing the DEF/SPR buff and the Regen.
  • Dispel will remove the 300% DEF/SPR buff immediately, but does not trigger "Its cloak is open" and does not remove the Regen effect.
  • Rubicante's other moves are Fira and auto-attacks. Barfira is helpful in this fight.

  • At 50% and 30% HP thresholds, it will use "It began collecting water!" and "It's recluded into a defensive position!".
  • "It's recluded into a defensive position!" - Grants 300% DEF/SPR defense and immunity to all elements (except lightning).
  • "It began collecting water!" - On the turn following, it will cast Tsunami, a major-damage AOE water spell if not interrupted.
  • Casting a lightning spell will interrupt Cagnazzo and remove the buff on the following turn.
  • Casting Dispel will remove the buff immediately and allow Cagnazzo to be interrupted with any element spell. After the dispel, It is still important to interrupt this otherwise he will use Tsunami - an ultra devastating AOE attack that has a good chance to instantly KO all of your party members, and deal massive water damage if not.
  • Normal attacks on Cagnazzo when it uses "Hold" has a chance to trigger single-target paralyze.
  • Magic attacks on Cagnazzo when it uses "Hold" has a chance to trigger single-target silence.
  • Cagnazzo will otherwise use auto-attacks and single-target sleep.

  • At 50% and 30% HP thresholds, Barbariccia will cast Maelstrom, a high-damage AOE wind spell. Maelstrom will have a chance to trigger "Wrapped in the wind" which gives it a 300% DEF/SPR Buff (this does not appear as an indicator, possibly glitched, but will be shown on the status menu).
  • Using a physical damage ability will remove this effect - Will read "The wind disappeared" the next turn. This removes the buff on the next turn if you did not already dispel it.
  • Auto-attacks will cause Barbariccia to cast a strong Thundaga on the next turn. Do not use auto-attacks.
  • > 50% HP attack pattern: 5 Moves: 3-5 auto-attacks, 0-1 Tornado (single-target wind damage), 0-1 Ray (100% Petrify).
